Due to the temporary no-noodle diet, I have been primary eating Jigae types of dishes. Jigae is a wonderful dish to have during rainy, windy weather (such as today), and it is a healthy food that is full of various vegetables and some meat. But tragedy has struck as I got hungry after my Kimchi Jigae dinner. The problem with Jigae based dish is that the portions are fixed, so you cannot “super-size” it (unlike the noodle dishes). So, I went to the supermarket for a quick snack and found this packaged, um, hamburger.
Sure, it does look suspicious like the canned hamburger, but I decided to try it. The price was 900 won or 90ish cents, which was cheaper than I expected.
The taste was quite different from the normal hamburgers you get from the States, because (like many hamburgers in Korea) the patty meat is mostly made out of pork (not beef). There wasn’t anything “disgusting” or surprising with this sandwich, and with the cheap price tag I might consider trying again in the future. Final verdict: Not a bad hamburger.
