Day 12 – Post-church Latte gathering

Ok. I am going to make a distinction here to prevent others from calling me an outright hypocrite. Yesterday, I wrote a post regarding the over-priced coffee in Korea and that I would not purchase them unless I was under some emergency. I will admit today that I consumed a Latte drink from the coffee shop at a price that rivals the cost of a typical lunch. However, this was a Latte and not your typical black-bold coffee. Sure, the price is still expensive, but it was under a nice occasion after a church service.

After church, I joined my cousin’s church study group. They were all warm and receptive. One gentleman took the opportunity to practice English with me, which I admit was a little awkward but nevertheless fun. The group comprised of people in their 20s and 30s, so it was a great opportunity to socialize with the young Korean adult generation in a warm “Latte” atmosphere. It was a great experience thanks to my cousin.

If you are wondering, we did a lot of personality tests that involved drawing pictures. The picture on the photo was my drawing.

Hitting the Waves

Currently, I am writing a series called “Hitting the Waves”. It is my day-to-day experience in Korea during the summer of 2009. Check out the old posts!
