So, it has been a couple of weeks since I visited this blue website, and I realized that there needs to be some reorganizations to get this website back into shape.
One of the problems I see is the lack of principle. DS NETS is a website of mine that focuses on current events and news commentary. View Focus aims to provide a platform for all types of opinionated discussion. Then, what is Day Mind XPression?
I remember creating this site to get into the blogging fever bandwagon. It really did not have a specific purpose in terms of content orientation, but nevertheless I treated like an open repository of things. It could be writings, such as a short story or poetry, pictures, and moving pictures (Another fancy way of saying "movies"). If there was a principle of creating the site, then it had to be allowing myself "space" to express my innate artistic self. I think I wanted to create a personal online artistic magazine back then....
But the website started to get a little mushy. Without legitimate reason, I began adding a lot of tangential content that had less to do with expressing my innate self and more to do with featuring external content with an addition of my small critique of mine. I think this destructive trend began with the intention of creating online content for the sole purpose of getting short term burst traffic. I began losing my original voice, and Day Mind XPression started to lose its shine.
So, we have this nicely templated website that lost its identity, and I have decided to bring it back to light. It will be a slow process, because I manage two other websites. But I am going to invest some free time during off work hours in getting ride of stale contents and reorganizing the categories, so that I can put this site back on track. In the end, you will see a moderately updated website, full of artistic and expressive elements.
I do a lot of reading for school and for personal enjoyment. In the coming weeks, I will feature some of the books that I am currently reading as I concentrate on writing less "Internet-related" topics.
This is a little glimpse of my busy life.

Happy Independence Day! Prayers to our troops in harms way, our Constitution, and our freedom.
You might have noticed that I do not have a comment option on this website, and there are various reasons to this. But the main reason is simple: It is not a huge necessity. DaymindXPression is still young and small compared to the more established websites out there, and although there are new visitors coming in from all directions everyday, the likely hood that anybody would use the comment feature is slim.
There are other reasons, including weeding out spam comments and utilizing more space on my open website layout. In general I do not feel that there is a need for a comment section on the website. Besides, there is a contact section up, where users can contact me directly. So if you want to contact me about anything, then feel free to use the contact feature, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. (I am human you know!)
To make my summer vacation days a little more productive, I am concentrating on reading books and listening audio books (Online for free - thanks to my local library). I will try to devote at least 5 hours on enriching my mind with great books and literature.Currently
Currently reading: Crime and PunisFyodorby Fyodor Dostoevsky
This book has been recommended by both of my parents. This Russian work is noted to be one of the great novel of all time.
Currently listening: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Bradbury depicts a truly gruesome future that bans books. This is my first audio book that I am going to listen to.
After spending some time with Mickey Mouse and his friends, I am back from Disney World. The vacation was truly magical, and I really had a great time. One tip before I head back to blogging mode: When you are planning a vacation at Disney, I highly recommend that you do a lot of research and signup on Disney packages. We stayed at a resort hotel in Disney World and bought the Disney Dining Plan. By using the Disney packages, we were able to maximize our enjoyment during the vacation and save a lot of money (Especially food!) without sacrificing any services.
Anyway, I am back now fully refreshed, and I will start updating the viral tags that people have been contacting me about.
I will be in vacation from June 15 through June 19, and unfortunately I will not have access to the Internet. As soon as I get back, I will update all the viral posts for those who have linked back. I have future posted entries, so you will see new blog posts popping up through the weekend. Well, have a great weekend and hope you enjoy by future posted blog entries!
Note: I will be in vacation from 6/15 through 6/19 (Without any Internet access), so I will update this page on 6/20 when I get back! Let's start another viral linking with favicons!
I have been skeptical of all the viral link experiments that were going on the internet, but I decided to join, and I could not believe on the amount of link-backs I have been receiving on Technorati. My blog "authority" jumped from 2 to 77 in just four days, and the number of links seems to keep on growing! From the viral link experiment I think I secured the phrase "Day Mind XPression" in Google, but I don't expect that there will be any long term impact in joining in the experiment. Instead I joined the experiment for fun and see my blog ranking go up on Technorati. You still can join in the link experiment from Founders Cafe.
In order to save time and blog efficiently I have decided to future post my entries and let my blogging software publish the articles as time flows by. Blogging everyday has been a hassle in a sense that I felt I was not being efficient with time. By "bulk" blogging in a single day for a week of entries I think anyone can produce better contents that way, because the burden of maintaining the blog daily will disappear.
Starting right now I will be preparing two blog entries for each of the seven days. Although I would be all blogged-up by the end of the process, I like the fact that I do not have to return and check on my website day after day after day!
Let the future posting experiment begin!
